Event Description:

Join thousands of animal lovers at the Richmond SPCA’s 17th Annual Dog Jog and 5K Run on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at our Robins-Starr Humane Center (2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220).

The day begins with a chip-timed 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk for people only, followed by a dog-friendly, leisurely one-mile Dog Jog. Throughout the morning, we host our pet-friendly vendor fair at our Robins-Starr Humane Center, featuring a Kids’ Fun Zone and a Pets’ Fun Zone packed full of fun activities for the whole family.

The first 1,000 registered participants will receive a T-shirt and goodie bag full of exciting gifts from our generous sponsors. Our Awards Ceremony, immediately follows the Dog Jog and prizes donated by our community partners will be awarded for our top individual and team fundraisers, as well as our fastest 5K finishers both overall and by age group.

Last year, our amazing Dog Jog and 5K Run supporters raised more than $192,000 to guarantee that thousands of homeless animals in the care of the Richmond SPCA have a second chance for a happy life in a lasting, loving home. In addition, funds raised support the lifesaving programs and services provided by our staff and volunteers to the people and pets in our community.
